Water treatment for frac-operation
For a so-called water frac-operation in Hannover were 20,000 m³ solids-free water needed within 72 hours.
FILTRATEC was given the contract for the filtration, to ensure the assigned quality of the removed water from the “Mittellandkanal”. With high injection rates up to 350 m³/h the treated water was pressed with high pressure pumps into the underground. This procedure was used to create artificial fractures in the rocks at depths of 3,900 m.
With 3 of our largest mobile filter presses and comprehensive special equipment the water was filtered. For the supply of the treatment unit 10 trucks - with 2 heavy goods transports were necessary. The project was technically successful and finished within the assigned time frame.
